Karen continually draws from a wide range of life experiences and her instinctive creativity leads her down roads less travelled. She spent years working as a graphic designer and has been involved in numerous creative pursuits from a young age. She finds great creative stimulation through nature, and her award winning writing, photography, and jewelry designs reflect the integration of nature into all that she does.
INTROSPECTION is her first book of collected photos and writing, and received an Honourary Mention in the worldwide Writer’s Digest Self-Published contest of 2010. Her photography has been displayed at the Okotoks Art Gallery as the featured artist of the month, as well as in other gallery exhibitions and at custom interior design stores in Calgary, Alberta.
The Gratitude Revolution is her second non-fiction book focusing on the life-changing experiences wrought by gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves by taking the time to simply think and reflect.
Karen has a deep and abiding interest in human nature, and this interest has lead her to taking courses in psychology, personality applications, and reflexology. She currently runs two businesses: WAYFINDERS Senior Care Services and Nutz! About You.
